Kalwun's dental services are available for clients of all ages.

Located at the Kalwun Health Service - Miami Clinic, services offered include:

  • dental screening and check ups
  • education and advice on keeping teeth and gums healthy
  • treatment services including:
    • cleaning and scaling
    • fillings
    • extractions
    • emergency treatment for toothache

If you do not show for your scheduled appointment, you may not be offered further appointments.


To be eligible for a dental appointment you must be a regular ongoing patient of the Kalwun Health Service.

Free dental is only available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have a current Queensland Centrelink concession card and their immediate family (who live in the same household). You will need to bring your card to each visit or fees will apply.

Fees will apply if you do not meet the above criteria. 


Kalwun's dental services are free for clients who satisfy the eligibility requirements above. Fees for clients with no concession card are:

  • $50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their partners
  • $100 for non-Indigenous people who are not partners of an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander person. If these people have a concession card they are still required to pay the $100 fee.

If a patient has a NSW Centrelink concession card they are not eligible for free dental and are required to pay the above fees.
