Keep up to date with news and events for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community of the Gold Coast.

On 12 March 2020 it was announced by the World Health Organisation that COVID-19 (commonly referred to as Coronavirus) had been declared a pandemic. Please be assured that the Kalwun team is working hard to keep you safe and informed during this time. The situation is moving very rapidly so please be patient with us as we try to get the best information and support for you. An evolving Action Plan for Kalwun has been developed for the month of March with the following immediate actions in place:

Kalwun’s largest ever project, the Coomera Integrated Health and Wellbeing Hub (the Hub), is now open!

Kalwun’s newly-formed Youth Wellbeing Program has been developed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people who may be living within at-risk families or who are at risk of entering (or already in contact with) the Youth Justice system and Child Safety.

NAIDOC Week on the Gold Coast just keeps getting better and better.

The Kalwun Early Learning Program was a worthy nominee and finalist at the Queensland Reconciliation Awards night held on 29 May.
