The Recognised Entity, Family Support and Foster & Kinship Care Service ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families have the right to culturally appropriate advocacy, support, resources and information during the child protection and alternative care process. Kalwun AICCA comprises of 3 seperate programs;

4. Indigenous Children's Program

Services

RECOGNISED ENTITY (male & female workers)
- Works in partnership with Department of Child Safety to ensure culturally appropriate decision making
- Supports families and children
- Case management
- Non-Therapuetic Counselling
- Advocacy
- Referral

ALTERNATIVE CARE (male & female workers)
- Training nights for potential foster carer (ph. 55 208 600)
- Recruit, train and support foster carers
- Assists and supports ongoing family contact where families have been separated
- Mediation
- Well-Being
- Cultural Awarenesss

FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM (male & female workers)
- Transport for families to access services (no personal transport)
- One-on-one support
- Exposure to cultural events and activities
- Mums & Bubs Group
- Dads & Bubs Group
- Womens Circle
