Kalwun's dental services are available for all clients of all ages.

Located at the Kalwun Health Service - Miami Clinic, services offered include:

  • dental screening and checks
  • education and advice on keeping teeth and gums healthy
  • treatment services including:
    • cleaning and scaling
    • fillings
    • extractions
    • treatment and prevention of infection
    • gum treatment.

Due to recent funding, all Kalwun clients with a current Centrelink concession card who have an appointment with the Kalwun Dentist will not have to pay for their dental treatment*.

The following terms and conditions apply to receive free dental treatments:

  • You must be a regular ongoing patient of a Kalwun Health Service.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients will need to have an annual health check at a Kalwun Health Service.
  • You must physically produce your Centrelink concession card, or show the Centrelink app with your card on it, at each visit. Failure to present a current Centrelink concession card will mean you will have to pay for the visit or reschedule your appointment.
  • If you do not show for your scheduled appointment, you may not be offered another appointment for at least 2–3 months.

*Note: Kalwun has limited funds for this program for the financial year and, once funds have been exhausted, clients may have to pay for dental treatments.

Kalwun's dental services are free for clients who satisfy the eligibility requirements above. Fees for clients with no concession card are:

  • $50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their partners
  • $100 for non-Indigenous patients
