Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within our Child & Family Support Services division. The Kalwun Child & Family Support Services division administers the Recognised Entity (Child Protection), Family Wellbeing Service & Foster/Kinship Care programs within the South East Qld region. The Foster & Kinship Care officer will be required to work between our Woodridge & Burleigh offices.
The Foster & Kinship Care Officer with the support of the Team Leader- Foster & Kinship Care is to provide a culturally appropriate service to clients of the program with the Department of Child Safety, ensuring that placements meet the Statement of Standards , s122(1) of the Child Protection Act. Within the aims and objectives of the Foster & Kinship Care program ensure that efficient & effective administration systems are managed, implemented & maintained within the FKC Program.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications applicable to the role
- Experience working with the community sector and in a range of partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of groups and people and gain cooperation and assistance from others.
- A high level of communication skills including oral, written and computer based and including spreadsheets, email, internet, digital media etc.
$27.83- $30.84 per hour. Award Rate is dependant on skills, experience and qualifications
